UNIT moves to Fitzrovia with Escape Technology as the data center solution.

Our UNIT Co-Founder Adam Luckwell and Head of 3D and VFX Supervisor Nuno Pereira sat down with Escape to discuss the studios recent move to a new Fitzrovia shortform and longform facility – at which Escape carried out a single weekend install by the technical team – and which also saw UNIT switching to the Escape data center solution. All of which needed to be up and running for Monday morning.

With three expanding verticals (Longform VFX, Commercials and Episodic Picture Post), UNIT needed a solution that could work flawlessly with each group’s differing demands, particularly in the brave new world of hybrid working.

As a result, UNIT’s new facility has much more space for grading (four grading suites) than it does studio space. With lota of UNIT’s artists working remotely, which can be from as far away as New Zealand, thanks to the data center, they connect, work and manage data in the same way they always have. .
