UNIT Colourist Harry Shelton’s Launches New Colour Reel
UNIT’s passionate Colourist, Harry Shelton, has launched a new colour reel. Spanning commercials, music promotions, fashion films, short films, branded content and longform – Harry’s work consistently showcases his unique talent and dedication to the craft of colour.
Harry’s love for portraiture photography guides his colour grading choices, ensuring immaculate skin tones and a tasteful, honest application of colour. Reflecting on his journey, Harry shared, “My creative ambitions are to keep working on new projects and develop my knowledge of colour grading. In an ever-changing industry, I’m always excited to see what is around the corner.”
He frequently looks to magazines such as The Face, Highsnobiety, The Gentlewoman, Sleek, and Re-Edition for current trends, colour, and skin tone references. Harry’s technical expertise encompasses both Baselight and Resolve systems, allowing seamless adaptation to diverse project requirements.
Harry’s recent standout projects include acclaimed work for Leffe and Samsung. He was honoured with the Best Colourist award at the Unrestricted View Film Festival for The Eyes of Marge and was shortlisted for the prestigious Young Arrows 23 for Sports For All, a project he regards as his proudest achievement to date.
Harry’s journey from Nottingham to London has significantly influenced his artistic vision. “Nottingham is a city full of greys, greens, and blues—a northern colour aesthetic that definitely influenced my work. Moving to London, in contrast, felt so exciting and opened me up to a whole new palette of colour,” he recalls. Harry finds inspiration in everyday visuals, fashion, and architecture, which deeply influence his work, infusing his colour grading with depth and personal resonance.
The release of Harry’s new colour reel has generated significant excitement within the industry. UNIT is proud to share this showcase of his extraordinary skills and invites everyone to experience the artistry of Harry Shelton.
